Plariam and Summoner came to us with a wonderfully dark brief for Raid: Shadow Legends. Desiring to save his village from brutish marauders, and after his god has forsaken him, a priest chooses to submit to an ancient dark power...
There was a fair amount of story to tell in the time available, but it was a fun challenge to find an edit style that worked with the pacing of the script and the intensity of the score. We condensed the action shots into short, hard hitting, fast cutting sequences, where the edit felt as violent as the invaders themselves. This allowed breathing room for the slower, more emotive story beats, creating an effective contrast between savagery and serenity.
The final film is a thrilling ride through some dark times for poor Teodor, establishing him as the poisonous evil priest who haunts the lands of Teleria.
